Participants can gain exposure to:

 

Mechanical repair and maintenance; engine systems; brakes and suspension;              electrical systems; diagnostics; bodywork and paint; interior restoration;                      detailing; wheels and tires; vehicle technology; audio and infotainment                          systems; and classic and specialty vehicle restoration.

 

Beyond the Garage

The automotive industry needs far more than mechanics. Participants may also explore careers in automotive sales, digital marketing, photography and videography, social media, parts management, customer service, logistics, project management, insurance, vehicle appraisal, dealership operations, entrepreneurship, and business management.

 

This broader approach is important because today's automotive workforce encompasses technical, digital, manufacturing, sales, service, and business careers. Major automotive workforce programs similarly emphasize hands-on learning and career pathways.

The Restoration Experience

Vehicles become working classrooms.

 

A restoration project may take several months or even a year, allowing participants to experience the patience, planning, teamwork, craftsmanship, problem-solving, and persistence necessary to take something from an idea to completion.
